4. What is the benefit of using a Layer Mask as opposed to using an Eraser?
The benefit of the layer mask is if you accidentally cover up a part you don't want covered, you can always just go back over it with white and it'll be there. But with an eraser you would have to go all the way back.
5. What is "non-destructive" editing and why is it an important approach for a photographer using Photoshop?

Non-destructve editing is using layers. This is important because if the person who's photo you're editing doesn't like what you did, you always have the original copy to go back to.

-Why did this photo catch your eye?
-Describe what the photo shows and is about. Be as detailed as possible. Imagine you are explaining it to someone that has never seen it.
-Imagine you are one of the objects in the photograph. Describe the scene from your point of view. What happened before the photo? What happened immediately after? What's the temperature? What time of day is it? What smells are present? What is the atmosphere like? Are there noises? Do you feel safe or is there a chance of violence?

- This photo caught my eye because of the plain-ness and the black and white. It's a pretty empty picture yet something about it catches my eye and makes me curious on why this picture was taken and why it seems so interesting. This was also eye catching because I like photos that are taken in black and white.
-This photo shows a man in his 30's or 40's. The man is dressed in a collared button down tee-shirt with dark shorts on that come to his knee and is wearing dark
sunglasses. He's holding an airplane model and a brief case. The walls behind him seem like they are in the city but it parts that are poor or don't have many people living there. The walls seem to have mold, dirt, and cracks on them. The area around seems dirty and depressing.
- I am the airplane model. I'm being held up high at an angle by some man. Behind me there is just a  plain wall. It is about 4 or 5 o'clock and the man holding me just got off of another hard, painfully boring day of work. I don't know why i'm here, but I think I am this man's only enjoyable thing left in life. His hands have a tense stressful grip. His palms are sweatign with fear but enjoyment at the same time. It's pretty cold out here and  I feel as if there's a presence of violence everywhere I go. This city has it's own smells of pollution and dirt that fill the air around me. I feel as if the atmosphere is filled with pain of the people that live around here. The city around me is full of poverty, but also filled with wealthy business men and women. There are noises of talking, crying, laughter, violence, and cars as they speed by.
